The cooperation between Comverse and “Touching the Horizon”: Comverse chose, as its main objective, to cooperate with the Neve Sharet neighborhood. Therefore, the company focuses on institutions frequented by the neighborhood’s residents - children, adolescents and adults – for its volunteer activities and giving back to the community. The company has three additional guidelines for selecting offered projects:
1. Partnership – working with organizations and associations with which an open and long-term dialogue can be held, which fill the needs of all parties and take joint responsibility over projects.
2. Involvement – in programs and in contents, which emphasize the employee’s volunteer activities and also create an ongoing, fertilizing connection.
3. Education and empowerment – preference is given to programs that allow for a process of real, internal change for its participants, provide tools for independence and development, and deliver long-term results.
Comberse found all of these conditions, and more, in the “Touching the Horizon” program and in the people who operate it, and therefore has been accompanying this program for the past two years.
