A national humanitarian umbrella organization, established in 1998 to work on behalf of the needy in Israel, without regard to sex, religion, creed, race, origin, or nationality.
At its aid centers, the organization extends immediate aid to the needy through distribution of food and clothing, as well as long-term solutions through vocational guidance aimed at helping the needy join the ranks of the employed.
Based on a belief that the future of Israeli society depends on the education of today’s youth, the organization also operates the Ilan Ramon Touching the Horizon Educational Center, where young people with potential and will, though lacking in financial means, receive an education, are empowered, and learn the tools to break the cycle of poverty.

In preparation for the imminent Pesach holidays, Pitchon Lev is commencing its annual food distribution marathon for needy individuals to enable them to conduct the Seder night.

The Pitchon Lev staff and volunteer team at the Rishon Lezion and Carmiel Welfare Centers have been working assiduously for several months in recruiting resources and contributions as well in preparing extensive logistical arrangements to address the substantial demand for assistance.

According to the founder and general manager of Pichon Lev, Nissim Zioni, there is a 25% increase in the number of requests for assistance compared to last year. This year, the organization will distribute 35,000 food baskets.

The food distribution marathon will involve the distribution of special Pesach food baskets including matzot, wine, haroseth and various other items.

The Rishon Lezion aid center marathon dates are: 10th, 14th and 17th April.
The Carmiel aid center marathon date is:  15th April.
