Rosh Hashanah in Pitchon Lev - 2008
Commencing tomorrow – Food Distribution Marathon at the Pitchon Lev Aid Centers.
In preparation for the imminent Rosh Hashanah holiday, Pitchon Lev is commencing its annual food distribution marathon for needy families and individuals to enable them to conduct the Rosh Hashanah night.
The Pitchon Lev staff and volunteer team at the Rishon Lezion and Carmiel aid centers have been working assiduously for several months in recruiting resources and contributions as well in preparing extensive logistical arrangements to address the substantial demand for assistance.
The food distribution marathon will involve the distribution of special Rosh Hashanah food baskets including apples, honey, traditional honey cakes and various other items.
As the marathons are very intensive and, we have recruited volunteers from all over the country in order to be prepared for the for the enormous number of people in our aid centers.
This year, Israeli celebrities will take part in the food distribution - the Olympic swimmer Eithan Orbach and the Soccer team players of Maccabi Haifa.
This operation will be held as well thanks to different Israel defense forces soldiers who will help to pack and distribute the food for the families as well as youth movements members, school pupils and HighTech such as Elbit and Orange who contributed their work hours for families in need.

September 18th – Rishon Lezion aid center will distribute 800 family food baskets.
September 22nd – Rishon Lezion & Carmiel aid centers will distribute together 1,100 family food baskets.
September 23rd - Carmiel aid center will distribute 600 family food baskets.
September 25th - Rishon Lezion aid center will distribute 1,000 family food baskets.
