A national humanitarian umbrella organization (RA 580328839), established in 1998 to work on behalf of the needy in Israel, without regard to sex, religion, creed, race, origin, or nationality.
At its aid centers, the organization extends immediate aid to the needy through distribution of food and clothing, as well as long-term solutions through vocational guidance aimed at helping the needy join the ranks of the employed.
Based on a belief that the future of Israeli society depends on the education of today’s youth, the organization also operates the Ilan Ramon Touching the Horizon Educational Center, where young people with potential and will, though lacking in financial means, receive an education, are empowered, and learn the tools to break the cycle of poverty.

The CEOs of both organizations participated in the ceremony. The International Christian Embassy's CEO reported that the Embassy understands the importance of helping teenagers finish high school successfully, being awarded a matriculation certificate, and finally being recruited into the army. Also, the Embassy sees this operation as a way of strengthening the security of the Israeli society.

Mr. Nissim Tzioni, Pitchon Lev's CEO, stated that the Educational Center will be highlighted in the year 2009, with its tremendous significance for youth at risk becoming integrated into the mainstream Israeli society.  Mr. Tzioni added: "This program is very important in the children's primary circle - the family circle -  but also in the comprehensive circles in the Israeli society. Every child who succeeds in becoming integrated into the society contributes to his own welfare as well as to the welfare of the society as a whole. Thus we are able to prevent the process of social deterioration, thanks to the efforts of the Educational Center and those who support it".
